Extremadura Winter Tour for vast numbers of Cranes and Larks. Plus Black Vulture, Eurasian Griffon, Spanish Imperial Eagles, Black-shouldered Kite, Great and Little Bustards, Black-bellied and Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, Azure-winged Magpie plus a good chance of Alpine Accentor.
Extremadura is a beautiful, unspoilt area with vast plains, cork oak forests
water bodies and mountain ranges. This all provides a wonderful array
and diversity of birds and some of the Spanish specialities.
The winter tour will take in all of the same diverse habitats as the spring tour, some of the summer migrants are lost but these are replaced by Red Kites, Cranes and wildfowl. Plus flocks of bustards, larks and pipits abound during the winter period.
