June 30th Exclusive day

A lovely day out in North Norfolk with a couple for an exclusive days guided birding in North Norfolk.

North Point, Wells offered up Green sandpiper, 4 Ruff, lots of avocet, Lapwing, Little Ringed Plover, several superb Marsh Harriers, including 2 fresh juvs, lovely views of fledged Whitethroats, Sedge warblers and a flyover Spoonbill.

Stiffkey Fen gave us great views of 25 Spoonbills, Black-tailed Godwit, Little Ringed Plover plus quite a few returning Teal. More Marsh Harrier, Red Kites, Buzzards and Kestrel.

Titchwell shined! Up 3-4 juv Bearded Tits, 2 Spotted Redshank, 10 Ruff, 200 ‘islandica’ Black-tailed Godwit, 250 Avocet, Sandwich & Common terns, a flyover Whimbrel. Out on the Beach quite a few returning presumably non-breeding Red Knot & Bar-tailed Godwit.

We had short views of a Bittern in flight walking out , but on the way back we had incredible views of this BITTERN just 10-15m in full view for 15 minutes!!
